Xhaiden was moving slowly down the forest path, hands in his pockets and eyes on the earth before him. He was bored in the castle. He had no one to talk to and it was mainly his own fault. The young man kept to himself most of the time, and was likely referred to as the castle recluse. He ran a hand through his ragged hair, a soft exhale escaping his lips. Even outside he was bored. Maybe he just needed to get off his ass and talk to someone. Then again, he really didn't want any friends.. because he didn't want to face the pain of them leaving him like what had happened so long ago.. "Eh.. fuck it.." he murmured. "I'm better off on my own.." He shook his head a little, merely continuing his lonley walk. Aw.

Colten lifted his head as he heard someone approach, clutching his book of poetry in his hands and drawing it in closer to his chest. The timid vampire glanced about, the bright moon lighting up the area almost as efficiently as the sun. He watched as Xhaiden began to walk past, and tilted his head some as he spoke to himself.

(Bed. Still sick and tired. Night love.)

Xhai kicked at a rock, shaking his head a bit. "Uugh.." he mumbled, shaking his head again. The young man slowed to a stop, beginning to wonder if anyone other than his parents even noticed he was at the castle. The half angel snorted some, hating that he was so curious at this moment in time. His brilliant eyes turned to Colten subconciously, and he froze, blinking some. "Uh.. haha.. hi there.." he mumbled, stuck in place. He was bad with people. Especially because he was such a confused young creature. "Sorry.." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Hello there," Colten greeted in return, closing his book and setting it in his lap, he remained on the ground, looking up at Xhai from where he sat, "What are you sorry for?" he went on to ask, tilting his head a little as he did so.

".. I'm sorry for disturbing you.." he pointed out, hanging his head a bit. He ran a hand through his hair, frowning slightly. Xhaiden hadn't wanted to bother anyone, that was why he'd gone on a walk in the woods to begin with. "I didn't mean to.." Aw. For someone so strong and somewhat intimidating, he sure was strange.

"It's quite alright," Colten reassured as he brought himself to his feet, "It gets rather lonely out here, it's nice to have someone wander by for a change," he politely pointed out, offering the other man a kind, but somewhat timid, smile.

(Off and on.)

Xhaiden gave a faint smile of his own, rubbing the back of his neck. "So.. you come out here often, then?" he asked, voice somewhat hushed, a sign of his obvious shyness. "So, err.. what are you reading, if you don't mind my asking?" He tilted his head cutely, feeling good around Colten, likely because they were two lonley, timid souls.

"Just a book of poetry, from all sorts of poets, though I do tend to favor a few," Colten pointed out, giving a little smile, he held the book out of Xhaiden to observe, "I come out here as often as I can to read a little to myself. It's so peaceful and calm, it's a very nice place for poetry reading.

"Ooh? I love poetry.." he pointed out, slowly looking the book over, he slowly extended his hands, asking if he could look through it quickly. "Mm, I supposed I'd come out here a lot too, if I had the chance.. I keep myself in a solitary state most of the time anyways.." He pouted for a moment, before shrugging to himself. "I'm Xhaiden, by the way.. Xhaiden Hart." He gave Colten a kind smile, eyes gleaming.

Colten passed the book over to Xhaiden, giving his head a soft nod, "Most everyone is busy, I find it easy to slip away, though they all discourage it. I never go into the forest any deeper than this, though," he added absently. "My name is Colten Von Hagen." He then added, bowing lightly.

"Huh.. are you staying at Dracula's castle too? I've never seen you before.." he frowned lightly, then leafed through the other male's book, gently turning the pages. "Mm, this has a lot of good poetry in it.." he murmured to himself, blinking and raising his eyes to Colten again. Xhaiden smiled as he bowed some. "Yeah.. it can be pretty dangerous out here at night.."

"I am, and I have been for quite some time. But by day, I remain in my room, and at night, I am out here, so it's no surprise that you haven't seen me," He pointed out, giving his head a soft nod as he watched Xhaiden look through his book.

Xhaiden blinked, then smiled a bit. "Oh.. so you're a vampire, huh?" he asked, looking Colten over very slowly. "I should've known when I saw you.." He ran a hand through his hair, shutting the book and extending his other hand to return it. "Thank you, Colten." He blinked for a moment, taking some more time to look Colten over again. He likes vampires.. they captivate him.

"Mmhm, I'm a vampire," Colten confirmed, accepting his book and tucking it gently underneath his arm. "My father was a friend of Dracula, so naturally, when I heard he was sick I came here to visit him, and I just.. Never left." He pointed out, giving his shoulders a little shrug.

"I see.." he murmured, tilting his head again. The young man cleared his throat, staring into Colten's eyes. "Well, it's an honor to be standing here in your presence.. to me, at least." Xhai smiled yet again. "Your kind fascinates me.. I love vampires. I think people think I'm strange because of it.." Aw.

"You're living in a castle full of vampires, werewolves, demons, and heavens what else. I doubt any of them think you're strange based on that," Colten said, giving a bit of a chuckle.

Xhaiden shrugged softly, before chuckling a bit too. "Good point.." he murmured. "Haha.. well.. If our housing and company were how they used to be.. Eh. I should just shut up, huh?" He rubbed the back of his neck in a nervous manner. "So, Colten, uhm.. would you like me to move along now.. or...?" He didn't want to leave, but he didn't know what to say. It'd be odd if he just blurted 'we should be friends', and he didn't want to freak the vampire out.

"Uhm, well, if you have places to go, then I'd hate to hold you up," Colten pointed out, giving a timid smile once more, "I'm about to head back to the castle, actually, for cup of tea, and probably a snack, I'm feeling rather hungry all of a sudden," the vampire told him, clasping his book as he spoke.
