Been contemplating writing a book. With Wolfe as one of the pain characters, as well as a younger Remy and some other folk that are in the works. o3o)

Years passing meant nothing to Taebien, both in body and mind. He was so old, that he no longer cared to count how many years exactly, nor did he bother celebrating his birthday, which was likely why, during that day, he found himself wandering the counteryside, in search of his life mate and partner in crime - Nite.
Mortal laws bored him to tears, and the trends of humans were nothing to him. Much time had passed since his youth, but nothing had changed. Humans still regarded what they could no understand with fear. For three months he had been creeping back towards his home. For three months he had been hunted and chased down over a misunderstanding. He had been doing a good deed, but all it took was for one person to say otherwise, for him to become a wanted man.
Being damned to a life of hiding, now both during the day and night, as if being a vampire was not restricting enough, meant that he had traveled most of his journey on foot, and looked much like a scruffy hobo in need of a good bathing.
"I wonder... Has Nite waited for me all this time?" He asked himself aloud, as he had had no companion in the last months he found himself needing to do so, in order to fight off the loneliness. "I hate to think that he would have moved on, but... He could have thought me to be dead already... Or that I wouldn't come back..." His gruff added, as he stomped through a familiar path.
He was so close to the home he had shared with his lover that he could nearly smell it, which left only a single thing between the home and himself - a small river, which he heard gurgling up ahead. With a new sense of urgency, he began to run, undead hard gripped tightly in his chest as he went.

Three months felt like years to Nite. The fact that he was a werewolf didn't help the situation, seeing as it caused him extra ache to be separated from his master, his lover, his whole world. Being alone had brought some old demons back to the surface and even now, after what he had done, they begged for more. More blood, more fear, more freedom. His golden eyes fell to rest on the surface of the river, glistening in the evening moon. His reflection looked awful, but he wasn't concerned with it. He was more concerned with the fact that the home he'd shared with Tae was in shit shape.

"They shouldn't have come here.." he mumbled to himself, slowly stepping into the water. "They shouldn't have followed me." He brought a scarred hand to his face, lightly touching a cut. He cast another look at the water. "They deserved to die.." Nite released a tormented snarl, swiping at the water. "Lorena was right.."

His mind wandered to the woman that had shown up not long after Tae had gone. She had been very pretty, and he was attracted to her, though not in a sexual way. She was his maker, and in all honestly that meant she had more power than the vampire that had saved him the night of his first transformation. She had told him that he could ammount to so much more than a domesticated pup, sitting on the porch waiting eagerly for Taebien's return. He wouldn't come back, she'd said, and he hadn't listened. He'd searched or sat outside waiting for about a month before she came back again. It was a full moon, and they had run together. Before he knew it, he was waking up amongst the dead with blood staining his teeth.

Nite had figured out why they said a werewolf that feasted upon the bodies of the innocent would be driven mad. His heart was darkening and he didn't even feel remorse for his actions. He had given up hope on his lover, however now, as he began to sink into the water to bathe, he caught his scent and locked up, pondering inhaling the liquid to save Taebien the shame of having to put his dog down. What was he supposed to do now..? He sobbed softly and began to scrub visciously at the blood stains and dirt.

They'll come for you one of these days, Nite, and you will join them.

A starved vampire such as himself seemed to have a keener sense of smell, particularly when blood was involved. A twinge in his chest nearly sent him to the ground, as he worried that perhaps someone had found their way to his home, and attacked Nite thinking that he might be harboring him.

Stumbling towards the river, he paused as the moonlight shone between tree branches, seeming oddly focused on his lover, whom was wreaking of blood and death. Not that Taebien smelled any better, but at least he did not smell as though he had committed a massacre.

"Nite," he whispered, pausing at the water's edge, where he caught a glimpse of himself. While he had not shaved in a few days, he luckily still only had a little stubble across his face - Wolfe had always teased that he would never be able to grow a full beard, something that he was thankful for now in particular. What bothered him the most was that he was absolutely filthy. He looked as though he had been crawling through muddy trenches, which he very well might have. His clothes, a meager tee and stained jeans, as well as a heavy over coat for warmth that looked considerably new compared to the rest of his clothing, in need of a thorough washing, though the majority should really have been discarded long ago.

"Nite... I... I'm so sorry. I ruined everything..." He murmured, burying his face in the palm of his hand as he did so.

The werewolf slowly rose from the water, shaggy white hair in his face. He turned his head to Taebien and stood completely still, golden eyes full of hurt and unease. "No.." he finally mustered. "You didn't do anything wrong.." He wiped at his eyes one at a time with a heave of a breath. "I did.. I'm the sorry son of a bitch that fucked up.." He waded into the center of the small river and looked to their home. "I would apologize to you, but I can't.. it wouldn't be sincere."

He cautiously motioned for Taebien to enter the water with him, biting his bottom lip as he did so. He didn't feel right, and he didn't like what was coming out of his mouth, but Tae hopefully could pick up on the fact that he wasn't himself. "I.. What happened..? I waited and waited but you didn't come home.. I was so worried.. I should've worried more, tried to find you harder.." He slowly turned away, hugging himself lightly. "Or.. at least shot myself before this happened." The last part was a whisper to himself.

Well, sort of, not them... Directly. xD
The main character is a journalist that has no respect from his peers, so he just kinda gets dragged into all this stuff with demons by accident. So naturally, he'd think angels are good, but in my story, they'll have a big antagonistic role. xD)

Slowly, Taebien undressed, raking his fingers through his hair, which was greasy and uncontrollable. His vampiric nose, which was as hungry for blood as he was, caught the lingering scent of blood in the water and on the man before him.

"You couldn't have done anything," he assured, while slipping into the water. He slowly, almost unsurely, approached Nite, and rest a worn hand upon his cheek. "You could have looked for an eternity, and you wouldn't have found me, the earth is vast and all..."

"I botched a job in Australia. I don't even know how it happened, it all went so quick... I've been over it and over it in my mind. I was hired to kill a vampire, but I got there, found it's lair, and... There was a little girls body there. I thought it was a victim, so I tried to find help, but it turns out she was the vampire and... Who would blame a little girl instead of a mysterious man? I got hunted all across the outback before I managed to stow away on a ship to England... It took me so long to find a way back here... I'm so sorry... And now... Something gone and happened, hasn't it? what's wrong, Nite, please tell me," the grown man pleaded, clearly far more emotional than usual.

"I could've.. eventually.." he mumbled, taking a step closer to the man. With a soft sniffle he pulled the vampire into a hug, listening to his story. It sounded like it couldn't have gone much worse. "You're back in one piece, that's a plus.." He dipped his hands into the water and lightly began to scrub at Taebien's back. "Stop apologizing to me." His voice became a bit edgy though cooled off a little after he spoke. ".. You're hungry.. eat."

Nite smiled ever so faintly and tilted his head to offer his delicate neck to his vampire. "Tae, baby, you don't want to know.. All you need to know is that I've disgraced you in a way worse than cheating on you.." He bit his bottom lip roughly to shut himself up. It only worked temporarily. "I'm not going to be myself anymore, I killed people, innocent people.. Lorena came to me.."

(Indeed. And I would know because I'm just about as blunt/rude as they come. xD

"With a broken pride and ruined reputation..." Taebien whispered, sliding his own arms around the other man as he spoke. His lips twitched slightly as Nite suggested that he eat. his pupils dilated and he leaned in some, mouth slightly agape.

The werewolf's story made him pause, however, and he instead leaned in towards the other male's ear. "If I've learned anything lately, it's that people aren't as innocent as they seem or claim to be." Slowly, he pulled back in order to survey Nite, "Though I'm sorry that she came to you, what was that old bitch just waiting for me to leave your side, or what?" He asked, seeming uncharacteristically angry.

Slowly, he pulled Nite closer once more, and simply held their bare bodies together, enjoying the warmth of his mate and friend for a few long moments, during which he could not manage any thoughts. "It'll be alright, Nite. I wont let anything happen to you... We can get past this... You have me, like always... And this time, unlike before, I know you love me... And you know I love you..."

"Well.. I don't care about that bullshit.." he whispered. "I'm sorry, but I don't. You're more important than what they say about you.. if they knew Taebien Hart like I do, they wouldn't tarnish your reputation.." Nite paused as he felt the vampire's warm breath on his neck, prepairing for the bite that never came.

Nite exhaled, turning his head away sadly. "I know they were innocent.. because I'm not right in the head now." He returned his eyes to his man, still acting uneasy and a bit ashamed. "She knows you'll run her off.. and she knows that I'm weaker without you.. The woman makes some good points though.." He sighed softly.

I don't think love can fix this.. he thought to himself, though he smiled none the less. "I can barely smell you Taebien, let's get that dirt off." He was trying to change the subject from his possible fate and his mistress. "Yes, I do love you, and I'm glad that you're home.. I missed you more than you'll ever know. I'm sorry I fucked up.."

(XD It's really easy. I'm sarcastic, too. A triple threat. XD

Taebien smiled a little at his companion. "That means a lot to me, Nite," he pointed out, licking the man's shoulder affectionately as he pressed into him.

He paused at Nite's words, unsure of what to say to make him feel better. "Well, don't worry, hun, I'm not going to be leaving your side for a while now..." He frowned a little as Nite stated that the bitch 'made some good points.' An already broken part of him could not help but wonder if he was losing Nite, but a stronger part pushed forwards and he simply embraced the man.

"I'm sorry too," he whispered, though leaned back a little to look around, a faint smile across his lips as he recalled a time long past. "Hey, you remember, one of the first times you and I played together, was in a river sorta like this one," he pointed out.

"Good, because you mean a lot to me.. the world, to be precise..." he whispered. The werewolf shivered softly as he was licked. "You do need to eat some, Tae.. so let's get cleaned up and then you can feed." He gently rubbed his smooth face against his mate's scruffy one, getting a small case of the goosebumps. "Mm.."

"Good, because I don't like you scaring the shit out of me to be honest.." He nipped at Tae's shoulder somewhat roughly. He was oblivious to the man's thoughts at the moment, which was why he frowned too. He didn't comment however.

"Stop saying that." he said with a playful growl. His eyes flickered for a moment then he looked around. "Haha, you're right.. God we had good times.. we've always had good times.." He smiled again.

"Mmerh, I'd rather eat later... When we're in bed... And I can be naughty... And curl around you naked and just... Enjoy you," the vampire hissed, unsure of whether he was more hungry than horny or vice verse.

"Mm, and I hope to have many more good times..." He whispered, though paused an instant and snorted some, "I guess I'm not that attractive right now, dirty, smelly and in need of a shave, eh?" He licked his lips some, before leaning in to nibble at Nite's skin.

"Ugh, I missed you so much that I don't even know what I want to do to you first," he murmured, while licking along the other male's ear.

"Honestly? I'm a werewolf. Dogs roll in stuff like that all the time." he pointed out with a smile, rubbing his bare body against the other man's. "Besides, you'll always be sexy to me.." Nite pressed into the soft nibbles, returning them with his own pearly whites.

"Do it all.. we've both got the stamina." The werewolf chuckled softly to himself, seeming to purr as his ear was licked. "Aughh, that's the spot.."
