(Black Rose dragon was the only one of those three dragon boxes that I didn't buy. XD I got the Red Dragon Archfiend and the Stardust dragon tins. xD

I gave the Stardust dragon tin to my brother... But I kept all the cards in it. XD

I have so many cards now. The last time I bought some, I bought as Spellcaster starter deck sorta thing. I love the spellcasters. :3

And yay, I got Dark Magician girl on the game!

I wish I had Magician of Black Chaos in real life. ;_

There was a soft thud as a book partially landed on a stack, only to fall to the floor and make Nal sigh. He was so close to having it, so close! The young man leaned back against the couch, shaking his head. "Why am I so bad at this?" he asked himself, frowning. "Uugh, fail." He yawned, rubbing the bridge of his nose. Nalthiel stared at the book, as if he was challenging it. "Fucker.." he muttered. He pushed himself to his feet, walking around the mounds of books to stretch his legs. Oh well, he'd get it someday, maybe.

"You're so bad at it because you have no faith in your own power," Joaquin pointed out, sounding idle, bored even. "And I'd thank you to stop abusing my books, most are ancient texts. It'd do you some good to read a book or two, you'd be surprised what you could learn from them." He added, crossing his arms lightly over his chest as he did so.

Nal blinked, looking to his father with a risen brow. He rubbed his wrist awkwardly, hanging his head a bit. "Sorry.." he said as he bent to pick the book up and return it to its place. "I do read.. just, not history. I read fantasy, but I'm gradually learning that the term lies about mostly everything." Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, monsters; all real, from what he'd seen. "Did you start out with faith in your power?"

Joaquin snorted at the boy, "It's not history," he grumbled, sitting down slowly, he listened to the boy ramble, remaining silent for a moment as he shrugged, "I had to depend on my powers," he said simply, "It was develop them, or die. Simple enough."

Nal frowned, moving to lean against a wall. The young man gently touched the cover of a book, tracing the title with his intex finger. "Wow.. Sounds rough... Could you tell me what it was like sometime? Your growing up?" he asked, tilting his head. "I mean.. if you want to.." He was curious about the man's past, but he didn't want to move too fast.

"Life was hard, kid," Joaquin said, summing it up in as few words as possible, "Most people would never have lived through the things that I have. Be that a good or bad thing." He commented, licking his eyes softly.

(XD He must have a long tongue then. XDDDD)

"I'm sorry.." he said softly. "But I guess it's a good thing, because if you hadn't have lived I wouldn't be here at all." He stroked his chin momentarily, as if in thought. "I appreciate that, even if I was an accident, you're taking the time to at least talk to me and letting me stay here." Nalthiel smiled softly.

"It's nothing... About time I do something good, really," Joaquin stated, shrugging his shoulder softly, "You're lucky, boy. You'll never have to meet the family. Most of them are dead... I killed them, mind you, but it's not like they were good people..."

The young man cleared his throat, crossing his arms over his chest. "Mm, I see.." he murmured, biting his bottom lip randomly. "I guess there are some things in life you just.. have to do, huh?" Nal tilted his head again. "What about the ones that are alive?"

The young man frowned again, slowly puching himself from the wall and walking to his father. "Well, I do." he pointed out as he sat beside the man. "If it counts." He exhaled, feeling like this was a moment when the man needed a hug, but he wasn't sure if he should touch him. He didn't want to fuck up.

Joaquin was surprised by the embrace, to say the least, and for a few long moments he was not quite sure how he should respond to it. Eventually, he wrapped his arms gently around the boy, not wanting to discourage him, "It's not always that easy for people..."

(What's Quentin again? Angel/dragon? Maybe an Angelic paralix or somefin.)
