Jay leaned back against the bench, staring down at the cup of soda in his hands. He slowly brought it to his lips, taking a small sip and hoping he'd manage to keep something in his stomach. He exhaled some, looking around at the trees that surrounded him. It was strange, heaven. It was so much like earth, yet so much more alive. Still, the beautiful atmosphere didn't help the young man. Ever since he'd gotten there fucked up, he'd stayed fucked up, and nothing seemed to help him. He barely ate, barely slept, and barely talked to anyone but Michael, and even then.. He rose his eyes for a moment, biting his bottom lip.

(Bed. Dad. >_>)

Ilia roamed heaven. Like always. He never really had anything to do there. He had no duties. From time to time, he would serve tea to Raphael, Michael, and the other higher ups, but that was pretty much it. He exhaled deeply, noticing the stranger on the bench, he rose a slow brow, peering curiously at Jay and wondering whom he was and whatnot.

As Jay saw Ilia, he rose a brow, swallowing at the lump in his throat. He bit his bottom lip again, remaining silent. He wasn't really an instigator when it came to conversation, especially not when he was upset. He couldn't help but notice that Ilia seemed curious and hadn't walked past like the few other people that had wandered by. The angel flexed his black wings and stared down into his soda, exhaling and wishing it could drown the pain he felt inside. Maybe he could find some alcohol somewhere...

(Trying to stay home today, lol. xD; )

"Excuse me, but I haven't seen you around here before," Ilia pointed out to the young angel, tilting his head a little as he did so, "Are you new to heaven?"He went on to ask, his dark eyes following Jay's gaze into the soda.

(Alcohol doesn't drown pain, it usually just makes it worse. <<

"Kinda, yeah.." he murmured, exhaling. "I was stationed on earth with my dad for a long time.." He hid his pain from the stranger rather well, though the signs of his troubles were obvious all over him. He looked sick, and that was the best pointer.

"Ah, I see," Ilia responded, licking his lips softly as he did so.

(It makes me talk a little more, but I'm still pretty quiet. xD

Friday night, when we all got plastered, this guy Evan is all 'cheers, girl who I never hear speak,' and we touched glasses and he went on this rant about, if he put me in one of his cartoons I'd be the silent character, that had like, a secret lab. XD

".. My name's Jay." he pointed out, slowly looking up at Ilia. "Who are you?" He leaned back, trying to get comfortable, though failing. With a sigh of defeat, he merely took another small drink from his cup, watching the other young creature with a slight hint of curiosity in his tired eyes.

(xD I talk a lot. And I started calling my sister's ex husband 'pussy pants'. There was a point to that, but I forgot. >o> It probably didn't help that Ian shotguned me either though. >: *bad child*

"I'm Ilia," he responded, folding his hands in front of him as he did so, his dark eyes watching Jay closely, due to the fact that he could sense his pain.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty amusing too.
Yeah, I still talk to him all the time, it's pretty hard not too considering we all hang out with the same people. xD

"It's nice to meet you, Ilia." he said softly, running a hand through his hair. "You know... you can sit down, if you want to.." He scooted over some, giving the other young man some room. He wouldnt' admit it, but he wanted a friend. He had Michael, but there seemed to be no one his age.. then Ilia 'found' him. Maybe this guy was destined to be that friend?

Ilia nodded his head a little, slowly sitting down next to Jay, folding his hands over his lap as he did so, "Thanks," he responded, smiling.

(Oh, well I see him all the time still. xD)

"No problem.." he said, still watching Ilia with his eyes that were full of mixed emotions. "So.. what do you do around here..?" He blinked for a moment before slowly looking at his soda again.

(OMG. It's a sign. Hot Topic has a shirt for A7x with the deathbat on top of a the shape of the state of Texas with a texas flag on the back that says 'Don't Mess With Death'.. they only have it in my size. XD AHHHH. Lol.)

"Not much, really." Ilia pointed out, giving a soft shrug as he did so, "I'm not even an angel, I just exist here," he went on to say, biting his lip a little as he did so.

"Ah.." he murmured. "Well, I am an angel, but I don't do much either." Jay shrugged. "We're in the same boat." He smiled ever so faintly at the thought. "We should be friends.." He felt a bit better just having Ilia around.

(Haha, yeah. xD 'Don't mess with Texas!' xD)

"Sure," Ilia smiled a little, giving a soft nod, "There aren't many angels my age around this place, I'd be glad to have a friend."

Jay nodded some. "I understand." he said softly, finally taking a larger drink from the glass. "It's pretty rough when there's no one around on your level.. to me, at least. I'm staying with Michael because that's what dad wanted me to do if.." He sighed. "He.. died." He bit his bottom lip, before shrugging it off, or trying to, at least. "Michael's a nice guy though.. I like him, but there are some things he just doesn't understand."

Ilia nodded his head softly, "I live with Raphael, and I'd like to think that he understand me, and more or less know me, completely... Even if he lacks the emotion to response accordingly... And I'm sorry to hear that..."

Jay gave a single nod. "I'm sure he does." the young male assured. "Especially if you've lived with him for a long time." He turned his head to look away for a few moments, before returning his attention to Ilia. "It's alright.. in time, I should recover." He cleared his throat, rubbing his temples with one hand. "I.. hope so, at least.."

"You will, I'm sure," Ilia said, giving his head a soft nod as he did so, the man rest his hands between his legs in an absent fashion.

Jay shrugged a bit, before yawning ever so slightly. "So.. what is there to do around here?" he asked. "Since we're friends, we should pick some places to hang out sometime." He smiled faintly again, a little more life in his eyes. Yay. c:

"There's not really that much to do, in my opinion," Ilia said, shrugging his shoulders some, "Heaven is a pretty boring place to be, most of the time. Granted, with all that's been going on lately there's been a bit of an uproar, but yeah..."

"Oh.. well then, I can get us to earth if you want?" he said, looking rather devious. "It's not boring, in fact, there's a lot to do down there." He ran a hand through his hair. Most of the things he had in mind were things he'd take a girlfriend to, but he figured it's work the same with a friend. The movies, maybe a carnival, hell, they could even go shopping if Ilia wanted. The money Jay had saved was of no use in heaven, so why not spend it on fun whenever he could sneak down to earth?

"Erm... I don't know... I've never been to earth before... And it's a terrible place, I'm not sure I wish to go..." Ilia pointed out, rubbing the back of his neck a little as he did so.

"Not all of it's terrible, Illia." he said softly. "And I won't let anything happen to you. Promise." Jay slowly moved a hand to pat Ilia's shoulder. "You'll like the places I have in mind.. It'll be a good experience for you, I'll make sure of it."

Ilia frowned a little, biting his tongue as he shrugged some and looked to his feet, "I guess I'll go then..." He murmured, though didn't think Raphael would be all that pleased if he found out what he was up to.

"When would you like to go?" he asked the other male, feeling like a bad influence at this point. Heh, he liked it.
