Vargos Family History

Post by Chris on Sun Oct 12, 2008 6:01 am

Anthony Vargos was born in the 1900's, in a small community in Transylvania, a land with fertile soils, rich natural resources and a commendable trading route.
However, Transylvania had many dark secrets at this time, and from many years in the past. Creatures of darkness ruled the night and terrified the people. The worst of which was a mortal looking creature, named Count Dracula, that fed on the blood of living creatures, including human beings.
Anthony Vargos lived many peaceful years like any other human being, until Count Dracula kidnapped and murdered two of his three children, which ultimately caused his wife to lose her mind and take her life into her own hands - Furthermore resulting in her death.
Anthony took his remaining child and fled the country, though the plague of Dracula followed him from country to country, until he nearly gave in, but when Dracula injured his only remaining family, Anthony discovered new found strength and the will to stand and fight. Though, in order to do this he once more had to flee, this time to receive training.
Anthony disappeared for many years, along with his son, both returning only when the boy had become a strong young man, and they had traveled the world, searching for the secrets of Dracula and his kind. Upon returning to Transylvania, both had as much knowledge and skill of the 'vampire' race as they could obtain at the time, though it was still not enough, as Anthony was murdered my Count Dracula himself, leaving only Matthew, whom was saved only by the rising sun, and thus learned Dracula's most critical secret, his weakness to the sunlight.
Matthew fought Dracula for many years on his own, but in his travels he became particularly fond of a gypsy slave of Dracula's. When it was discovered that she was bearing his child, Matthew fled just as his father had done, to save the life of his child.
While fleeing, Matthew found himself in the center of a very strange ritual that Dracula had apparently been doing for many years. The murdering of werewolves under the light of a crescent moon, which was then thought to be the period when they were weakest. Matthew was faced not with Dracula, but with lesser vampires that he easily killed, saving the lives of many werewolves, whom offered Matthew and his coming family protection for setting them free and teaching them the secrets of the vampire.
Thus, Matthew built a cabin in the forest where the werewolves lived, which was where his first son was born, and several years later his second and third sons.
Matthew, in the process of training his sons in their childhood, began to do the same to werewolves whom wished to learn, and soon he formed a partnership-like bond with a powerful werewolf named Orion, whom was the leader of the wolf pack. It was Matthew and Orion whom made the decision that young humans and young werewolves could be paired together and trained to kill vampires, and through the powerful bonds they formed could save the world from any dark creatures that threatened it.
Thus, Matthew was the first known man in history to partner with a werewolf, under any circumstance, followed soon after by his sons, whom passed this tradition on to their sons, and also formed the Vargos Academy, a school for humans that descended from bounty hunting families (of a paranormal nature) to develop their skills and give them a suitable partner to grow with.
